ASPAC’s medical team and staff had the privilege of attending the Malaysia Hospice and Palliative Care Conference (MHPCC) 2026, held at SACC from 18–20 June.
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the inaugural Pearls of Dignity Awards, part of the Leong-Ding Family Foundation Awards, established to honour the unsung heroes and organisations dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care in Malaysia.
The awards recognised excellence in the following categories:
* Outstanding Pearl of Dignity Award
* Palliative Team of the Year
* Palliative Allied Health Service of the Year
* Individual Excellence Award
The 2026 conference also paid tribute to Dr Michael Yoong Meow Loke, who was inducted onto the MHPCC Wall of Honour in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of palliative care.
