AsPaC’s 10th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner 2025 was a memorable evening that celebrated not only a milestone in our organisation’s journey, but also the many individuals whose generosity and dedication have made our work possible over the past decade.
Guests were greeted by an energetic Lion Dance performance that marked the auspicious beginning of the evening’s festivities. The foyer came alive with a variety of stalls that offered unique handcrafted items. Beautiful artificial handmade flowers and artisanal candles drew much admiration, while paintings by artists Michael Lip and Rohini A provided guests with an opportunity to appreciate and support local artistic talent. AsPaC’s merchandise stall was another highlight, with the hand-sewn tote bags crafted by Sue Yoong proving especially popular among attendees.
The evening’s programme featured an array of performances that entertained guests throughout the night. A spirited Chinese drum performance by a group of children captivated the audience and set a festive tone. Comedian Kavin Jay had guests laughing with his trademark wit and humour, while a live band kept spirits high with a nostalgic selection of beloved oldies during dinner.
Among the most poignant moments of the evening was a heartfelt tribute by Dr Por, who shared the story of Arthur, AsPaC’s cherished pet therapy dog, who passed away a year ago. Arthur touched the lives of countless patients and families through his gentle presence and unconditional affection. AsPaC is proud to have been the first NGO

in Malaysia to introduce pet therapy for home patients, and Arthur’s legacy continues to remind us of the many forms that compassionate care can take.
The celebration concluded with an eagerly anticipated Lucky Draw, bringing excitement and joy to the evening’s final moments.
As we reflect on this special occasion, we extend our deepest appreciation to the Organising Committee and volunteers whose tireless efforts ensured the success of the event. We are equally grateful to everyone who purchased tickets, as well as the many generous donors who contributed prizes for the Lucky Draw. Your support and belief in our mission enable us to continue providing compassionate palliative care to those who need it most.
AsPaC’s 10th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner was more than a celebration of the past ten years. It was a testament to the strength of our community and a reminder that together, we can continue to bring comfort, dignity and hope to patients and families for many years to come.
